Rev. Edward L. Hill, Sr., native of Tallahassee, Florida. He is the second of seven children born to the late Kathryn Hill. He attended the public schools of Leon County and holds a BA degree from Western Ill. University. Rev. Hill was licensed to preach in 1984, while serving as a member at St. James A.M.E. Church, Columbia, SC. He was ordained an Itinerant Elder in 1988 at the Columbia Annual Conference at Miller Chapel A.M.E. Church, Newberry, S.C. Pastor Hill has successfully served as pastor to Mt. Sinai A.M.E. Church, Elgin, SC; Stover Chapel AME Church, Columbia, SC; Pine Grove AME Church, Peak, SC; and currently serves as the faithful Pastor of Friendship AME Church, Columbia, SC. Rev. Hill is married to Alice Faye Hill and they have two sons; Dr. Edward L. Hill, Jr., (Columbia, SC); Vincent T. Hill (Nashville, TN); additional they have four grandchildren Ellerxia, Justice, Vincent II and Autumn Grace. Pastor Hill is a member of the Columbia Branch of the NAACP, Morelight Lodge # 468;and VFW Post # 4262. |
